Hungry?

Based on the Bible verse today, how pure would it be to ask just these two things of the Lord? How simple our lives would be if we stayed fully reliant on the Lord without the superfluous. There was a time in my life where my daily sustenance came from him and no other place. God taught me a lot during that time, and he taught me that He was ENOUGH! "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:25-26) In light of today's verse, the word "portion" from Psalm 73 really stands out. We know that Jesus is the bread of life, but he is the only bread that fills. There are many things in this life that leave us feeling hungry. Prov. 30 goes on to list a few things that are never satisfied. 'There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, 'Enough!' : the grave, the barren womb, land which is never satisfied with water, and fire which never says, 'Enough!' These four things cannot receive the nourishment of God's daily bread, but we can. What is leaving you hungry? Your relationship, your finances, your escape mechanisms? Feed on Him. "For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." See you later...I am going to go EAT!
